Muslim religious leader supported the order regarding Kanwar Marg: Muslim religious leader supported the order to write the names of shopkeepers on Kanwar Marg, advised Akhilesh Yadav not to do vote bank politics

New Delhi. Amid the controversy over the UP government’s order to write the names of shopkeepers on food shops on the Kanwar Yatra route in western Uttar Pradesh, the Muslim religious leader has supported this decision. He has also accused Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav of doing politics in this matter. National President of All India Muslim Jamaat Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi says that the advisory was issued by the police to shopkeepers to put up boards with their names so that the arrangements are in order. Since Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur area has been very sensitive, the police has given this order to maintain communal harmony and to avoid a situation of Hindu-Muslim conflict, I support it.

He said, this is a religious yatra and Akhilesh Yadav is doing vote bank politics for cheap popularity in this matter. I request Akhilesh Yadav not to create a situation of conflict between Hindus and Muslims. Do not make this religious matter a political arena. The Muslims here have no problem with this order of the government and they have also put up boards outside the shops. When Muslims do not have a problem, then why is Akhilesh Yadav having a problem. Do not make a religious yatra a political yatra. Do a lot of politics when you get a chance in the 2027 elections.

It is worth noting that ever since this order has been issued by the UP government, all the opposition leaders including Akhilesh Yadav have been opposing it. Akhilesh Yadav had questioned the government’s intentions regarding this order on a social media post and wrote that what will be known from the name of a person whose name is Guddu, Munna or Chhotu? The court should take suo motu cognizance in this matter.
