Muslim religious leader’s reaction on Wakf Amendment Bill
Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 in the Lok Sabha today. During this, there was a lot of uproar in the House by the opposition parties. Now the reaction of Muslim religious leaders has started coming on this bill. Maulana Ejaz Kashmiri, President of Jamiat Ulema Mumbai, said about the Waqf Bill that the Modi government wants to occupy the Waqf land of Muslims. He said in his statement that the Modi government at the Center wants to occupy the land of Muslims. He said that this bill has been brought to benefit those who voted for the BJP.

He said, “This bill has been brought so that the Modi government can take over the land of Muslims. Why does this government want to interfere in the matters of Muslims? First, triple talaq was abolished and now the government has an evil eye on the Waqf land of Muslims. The Union Minister is only talking about the problems of Wahabi, Bohri, Ahmadi community. There are so many Shia-Sunni in the country. Why don’t they talk about those who vote for the Modi government or BJP. This bill has been brought only to benefit them.”
What else did Muslim religious leaders say on the Waqf Bill?
He said that the intention of the government is to get whatever it wants done on Muslims by force and force. This is the intention. Passing any bill in the House is just a game of numbers. Modi government will get this bill passed by force. If the central government is so concerned about Muslims, then it should give reservation in education only to Muslim girls under the Right to Education. When the central government was bringing this bill in the House, it should have at least discussed with all the opposition leaders. What is in the bill? They should have told about it. They are bringing a bill related to Muslims and did not discuss it with any Muslim MP or intellectual. They themselves directly brought the bill. All this has been done deliberately, because the central government wants to work for the rights of Muslims.
