New Delhi. India has got a dreaded cricketer in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yashasvi Jaiswal himself has proved this in the last few matches. Yashasvi Jaiswal had performed brilliantly in the recent Test series against England. He was the highest run scorer. Yashasvi Jaiswal once started feeling that his career was over. This story of Jaiswal was narrated by coach Jwala Singh.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s coach Jwala Singh said, “When he came back from the IPL (2021) in Dubai, he was very nervous and he cried on the phone and said, ‘Sir, my cricket is over. I don’t think I will play at a high level. At that time he was not a very aggressive player. He just played some good shots. During that time there was Covid in India. I took him to Gorakhpur, and I used to tell him to hit as many sixes as he could in a big ground against the spinners.”

The coach further said, “The progress you are seeing today had happened in 2020-21. That’s because we practiced. When he went for IPL, I used to make him bowl in different conditions. I used to ask him to hit shots on every point. I used to tell him to hit sixes over long off, over the heads of the bowlers, towards cover.”
Let us tell you that Yashasvi Jaiswal had hit a total of 26 sixes in 9 innings of the 5-match Test series against England. Yashasvi Jaiswal had equaled Wasim Akram’s record in the third test. Wasim Akram hit 12 sixes in the first innings of the Test match against Zimbabwe in 1996. Till date no batsman could do this. But Yashasvi Jaiswal equaled Wasim Akram’s record by hitting 12 sixes in an innings. Yashasvi will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL.
