What did PM Modi say during the swearing in ceremony?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken oath as PM for the third term today. During the oath taking ceremony, he said, “I Narendra Damodar Das Modi swear in the name of God that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established. I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India. I will discharge my duties as the Prime Minister of the Union faithfully and with good conscience. And I will do justice to all kinds of people according to the Constitution and law without fear or favour, affection or ill-will.”
“I Narendra Damodar Das Modi swear in the name of God that I will not communicate or disclose, directly or indirectly, any matter which shall be brought to my consideration or shall become known to me as Prime Minister of the Union, to any person or persons except as may be required to do so in the discharge of my duties as Prime Minister.”
After PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and JP Nadda also took oath. After JP Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and then Nirmala Sitharaman were sworn in by President Draupadi Murmu.
PM Modi has taken oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Seychelles Vice President Ahmed Afeef, Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar attended PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
