After getting a clear majority in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the NDA is ready to form a coalition government. Narendra Modi has been elected the leader of the alliance and he will take oath as the Prime Minister at 7:15 pm on Sunday and along with him 18 other MPs can also take oath as ministers. 7 can take oath as cabinet and the remaining 11 as independent charge and ministers of state. However, no official information has been given about this. It is believed that more than 3 dozen MPs can take oath as ministers. 2-2 from TDP and JDU and one from Shiv Sena can become cabinet ministers. A total of 8000 guests can attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi. These include many foreign guests as well.
According to sources, Amit Shah will remain Home Minister, Rajnath Singh Defense Minister and S Jaishankar Foreign Minister, Ashwini Vaishnav Railway Minister and Nitin Gadkari Transport Minister. Jal Shakti Minister and Lok Sabha Speaker can also remain from BJP. TDP can get Urban Development Ministry and Civil Aviation. JDU can get Energy Department, Rural Development Ministry.
President Murmu will administer the oath
There can be 2 cabinet ministers each from TDP and JDU and 1 from Shiv Sena. Sources say that apart from this, cabinet ministers from NCP, LJP and JDS quota can take oath. President Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office and secrecy to everyone. Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have been completed at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Rashtrapati Bhavan has been decorated like a bride for the swearing-in ceremony.
