India on Thursday condemned US Congress member Ilhan Omar’s visit to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and said it reflects the politics of “narrow minded”. Omar, who arrived on a four-day visit to Pakistan, met former Prime Minister Imran Khan at his residence.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi criticized Umar for visiting PoK and said, “We have seen that he has visited a part of the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir which is currently illegally occupied by Pakistan.” All I have to say is that if there is such a politician and wants to do his narrow minded politics, then this can be his job.”
“But this visit violates our territorial integrity and sovereignty and we feel this visit is condemnable,” he said.
On the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “We have seen some terrorist attacks. We have always been clear in our condemnation of terrorist attacks. We are seeing what developments have happened there. We have certainly seen all terrorist attacks. condemn it.”
