Chandigarh Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini while addressing the first national conference of presidents of urban local bodies in Manesar on Thursday said that it is our good fortune that Haryana has hosted this national conference. In this conference, we are all churning the role of urban local bodies in strengthening our democracy and in nation building. This topic shows the way to irrigate the roots of our democracy and to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developed India- 2047 vision.
Naib Singh Saini said that urban local bodies are the first school and nursery of democracy. The deeper the roots of democracy are, the stronger our nation will be. When a good infrastructure provides modern facilities to citizens, the common man feels that he has handed over the reins of his local body to the right hands. He said that developed India-developed Haryana will be formed from developed cities. Therefore, we have targeted to create a trillion dollar economy under Vision-2047 in Haryana and create a 5 million new employment opportunities.
Work on 5 sophisticated city settlement project: Chief Minister
Naib Singh Saini said that cyber city Gurugram is a model of urban development. The 180 km long KMP attached to it With the corridor, 5 such very modern cities are working on the project of settling under the Panch Village Scheme. This scheme has been made for 75 lakh population by the year 2050.
PPP is benefiting from the public
The Chief Minister said that the infrastructure in cities is being strengthened under the Amarut Yojana. The identity card of all the families has been made in Haryana and has added all government schemes. Now citizens are getting the benefit of these schemes at home. Recently, Haryana has implemented 100 percent of the scheme which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented in the entire country. Along with this, Nagar Darshan Portal has also been started in Haryana.
Made urban body strong
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that it is very important to make urban local bodies strong and transparent. For this, e -governance is being adopted rapidly in Haryana. Every corporation in Haryana is working through a digital portal. Problems are being solved through AI. Priority is being done on subjects like property tax, electricity bills, solid waste management. The Chief Minister said that development is the basic mantra of our government and environment. For this, we have to give priority to rain water harvesting, green building, solar energy, electric vehicles. Every municipal body will have to prepare a green action plan. Haryana is giving pace to campaigns like Amrit Sarovar and Jal Jeevan Mission to deal with the water crisis.
Haryana constructs 148 duormatry units for workers in Kundli and Manesar industrial areas
The Chief Minister said that cleanliness should not only be a mission, but a part of our rites. The first phase of the Swachh Bharat Mission was public awareness, the second phase is infrastructure, now the third phase should be the rite. 100 % source segregation, bio-CNG and circular economy will have to be promoted to make cities garbage free. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is that the city should be slum free. The poor get pucca houses, clean water, good basic facilities and full respect. P.M. in this direction Under the housing scheme, more than 4 crore pucca houses have been built in the country for poor families. In the first phase in Haryana, 148 doormatory units have been constructed for workers in Kundali and Manesar industrial areas. He called upon everyone that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would participate actively in putting the dream of developed India on the ground.
