New Delhi. Ballia in Uttar Pradesh is in the grip of floods and many villages have been turned into islands due to the increased water level in the rivers. Due to this outbreak of flood in the district, the life of the people has been disturbed. In such a situation, Rohit Singh, the national convener of Yuva Chetna, visited the flood-hit areas and launched a campaign to deliver relief materials to the people who were in trouble. Rohit and his team distributed relief materials in about half a dozen villages. After reaching among the people, Rohit Singh took their well being and also gave them courage to fight against this menace. After visiting the flood-affected areas, Rohit Singh while interacting with the media said that the rich and prosperous people should come forward for the cooperation of the people at the time of crisis. He also appealed that the strong people of the society should become a part of this campaign in maximum numbers and help the people in getting relief from the damage caused by the floods.
Rohit Singh told that his team will distribute relief material not only in Ballia but in the flood affected areas in the entire Purvanchal so that it will help in removing the basic problems. Apart from Ballia, other districts like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Banda of Bundelkhand, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Etawa are heavily affected by the floods and people are in panic due to the rising water level of rivers.
Commendable initiative of Rohit Singh
Rohit Singh said that the only goal of Yuva Chetna is public service and that is why he and his companions are trying to provide all possible help in the flood affected areas of Ballia district. At the same time, he also hoped from the affluent and strong sections of the society that apart from the efforts of the Government of India and the State Government, they should also come forward openly and give their full cooperation in fighting the menace of floods.
In fact, in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, there has been a terrible devastation due to floods, but this city is facing a double whammy. While some areas of Ballia are affected by drought, other areas are in the grip of floods. When the situation in Ballia, situated on the banks of the Ganges, became uncontrollable, the administration said that concrete arrangements have been made to deal with the problem, but the situation on the ground says something else. In such a situation, this initiative of Rohit Singh, national convener of Yuva Chetna, is commendable and commendable.
