New Delhi. In the National Herald case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has now accused the Congress of not cooperating in the investigation. The news channel ‘Aaj Tak’ has given this news quoting ED sources. Sources in the probe agency told the channel that the office of Young Indian in Delhi’s Herald House had to be sealed due to this non-cooperation of the Congress. According to ED sources, on Tuesday, the probe agency team had gone to Young Indian’s office for investigation, but there was no one present from the Congress side during that time. For this reason it had to be sealed temporarily.
According to ED sources, Mallikarjun Kharge is the principal officer of the Young Indian office. When the ED officials reached the Herald House office, Kharge left without co-operation. Now the investigating agency has summoned Mallikarjun Kharge to remain present in the office of Young Indian during the investigation. The investigating agency says that the seal will be removed only if the person authorized by the Congress is present there during the investigation. At the same time, Kharge denied in a conversation with Aaj Tak that he did not cooperate with the ED. Kharge said that the investigating agency did not even ask him for permission to conduct the search and he did not even stop the ED officials from carrying out the investigation.
At the same time, there was a flurry of rhetoric between the Congress and the Delhi Police on Wednesday. Congress leader Ajay Maken had alleged in the press conference that a large number of police have been deployed outside the Congress office, the houses of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to prevent the party people from protesting on August 5. to scare them. At the same time, according to Delhi Police sources, the Special Branch had received information that a large number of Congress workers are going to gather there against the ED’s action at Herald House. For this reason the security was strengthened.
