New Delhi. Independence Day is approaching and preparations have started across the country. From the central government to the state governments, the gears have tightened. On the occasion of 75th year, every citizen of the country is supporting in making Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Har Ghar Tricolor campaign a success. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has started preparations in full swing. Meanwhile, the family of Nathe Singh, who lives in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, is fully prepared to contribute to the campaign. Let us tell you that Nathe Singh is the same person who prepared the national flag of independent India for the first time with his own hands and today his family is following this tradition.
Natthe Singh passed away in 2019
The first national flag of independent India was designed by freedom fighter Pingali Venkaiah but the national flag was actually designed by Natthe Singh. Natthe Singh was a resident of Meerut and even today his family is contributing in the service of the country by preparing the national flag. This tradition continues even today in Nathe Singh’s family. Natthe Singh was born in 1925 in Subhash Nagar, Meerut. He made the tricolor for the first time when he was just 22 years old. He dedicated his life to the national flag and the tricolor. After which his family is making tricolor for the country till date. However, Natthe Singh passed away in the year 2019.
Even today the family is fulfilling the responsibility
Nathe Singh’s son Ramesh says that his father got the responsibility of making the tricolor when the country became independent and the Parliament met for the first time. For the first time this responsibility was entrusted to the Triya Gandhi Ashram which is in Meerut. Which was led by his father Natthe Singh and performed the responsibility well. At present, Nathe Singh’s son Ramesh, his wife and two daughters together make the tricolor. He says that he takes great pride in doing this work.
