Nawada police busted an inter-district gang of bank robbers and showroom robbers. After the robbery plan failed in Gaya, the gang members had looted a bike in Nawada. Nawada SP Ambarish Rahul told how this notorious henchman was caught.
Nawada. Bihar’s Nawada police has busted an inter-district robbery gang and arrested 6 vicious robbers of the gang. They carry out heinous robbery incidents including bank robbery, robbery in jewelry showroom, road holding in different parts of Bihar. The henchmen of this gang have carried out major robbery incidents in many districts of Bihar. Criminal cases of these criminals are also registered in the police stations of many districts. However, 3 members of this gang are still absconding. Nawada SP Ambrish Rahul has busted the entire case.
Nawada SP said that the gang leader Laxman Paswan is a resident of Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district. A total of 16 cases are registered against him in various police stations of Patna district. These cases include heinous crimes like bank robbery, loot etc. Vikas Kumar of Begusarai, Goldy Singh of Nalanda Bihar Sharif, Mehar Singh of Nalanda Deepnagar, besides Chunnu Singh and Nitendra Singh all used to carry out big robbery incidents together.
This gang was going to execute a big robbery plan in Gaya, but for some reason they could not execute the incident. While returning, on 27 July 2024, a young man’s new Bullet bike was robbed at gunpoint near Guruchak railway crossing in Hisua police station area. After the incident, the victim lodged an FIR in the police station, after which the SP formed an SIT.
When the police started the investigation, on the basis of CCTV footage and human input, one member of the gang was arrested from Bihar Sharif. On the basis of their information, other criminals were arrested from Nalanda, Bakhtiyarpur and Patna. During this, the police recovered a looted bullet bike, 3 other looted bikes, a country-made pistol, a semi-automatic pistol with magazine, two extra magazines and 7 live cartridges from them.
During interrogation, they confessed their crime and when they told their old records, Nawada police was shocked. 3 henchmen of the gang are still absconding, whom Nawada police claimed to catch soon. In this way, Nawada police has succeeded in catching an inter-district robber gang.
