Gadchiroli. Anti-Naxal force has got great success in Maharashtra. According to the information, police have killed four Naxalites in Gadchiroli this morning. There was a collective reward of Rs 36 lakh on them. The killed Naxalites have been identified. These include Varghese, Magatu, Kursang Raju and Kudimetta Venkatesh. Varghese and Magtu are secretaries of different Naxalite committees. Whereas, Raju and Venkatesh are said to be members of the platoon.
Gadchiroli SP Nilotpal told the media that on Monday afternoon the police had received information that some Naxalites had crossed the Pranahita river and come to Gadchiroli from Telangana. Their intention was to cause violence during the Lok Sabha elections. On receiving information about the entry of Naxalites into Gadchiroli, police’s special unit C-60 and CRPF’s Quick Reaction Team (QRT) personnel were sent to the area. When these teams were searching for Naxalites in the Kolamarka mountains near Repanpalli, indiscriminate firing started on them. According to the SP, after this the soldiers also started retaliating. There was heavy firing from both sides.
According to Gadchiroli SP, the firing from the Naxalites has stopped. After which a search operation was conducted in the area. In this the dead bodies of all four Naxalites were recovered. One AK-47 rifle, one carbine, two country-made pistols, Naxalite literature and some other items were recovered from them. Let us tell you that Naxalites have been committing a lot of crimes in Gadchiroli area of Maharashtra. In such a situation, the killing of four Naxalites carrying a reward of Rs 36 lakh can be of great help to the security forces. This will also destroy the morale of Naxalites. Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that Naxalites will be completely eliminated in the next term of Modi government.
