Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra performed brilliantly and won the silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, but his dream of touching the target of 90 meters remained unfulfilled. Neeraj won the silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters. This was his only valid throw in the Olympics 2024. Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal with an Olympic record throw of 92.97 meters. Neeraj has become the first Indian athlete to win an Olympic medal for the second consecutive time.

Neeraj had worked hard to cross the 90 meter distance in the Paris Olympics, but missed it by a small margin. Now he said that it would be better to leave this goal to ‘God’. He also said that now he will focus his full attention on preparation and see how his next performance will be. Neeraj has recently had to struggle with a back injury, but he said that he is committed to end his season in a great way. He said that he needs to make some technical improvements in his game, especially the line of his javelin was not right and due to this he lost a few meters of distance. Despite this, Neeraj believes that he will give his best performance in the next few competitions.

Neeraj will now compete in the Diamond League to be held on August 22 and then participate in the Diamond League Final to be held in Brussels on September 13-14. Neeraj said that India needs to identify talents and perform better in all sports to become a sports power. He also expressed hope that India will perform even better in the next Olympics.
