New Delhi, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has responded to the questions (NEET Exam Controversy) raised regarding NEET UG exam (NEET UG 2024) and also told what decision the government has taken in this regard. Pradhan said, NEET exam will not be canceled. The interest of the students is our priority. This will not be compromised at any cost. We are forming a high level committee in the NEET exam case, which will investigate the entire case. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. No culprit will be spared.
Pradhan said, we have sought information from the Bihar government. We are constantly in touch with the Bihar government and we are getting some information from Patna. Some reports have come today as well. Patna police is getting to the bottom of that incident. The detailed report of the case will be available soon, and action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in this. We will get to the bottom of the whole matter, so that such things do not come to light in future.
‘I take responsibility’
Dharmendra Pradhan said, I take responsibility for the irregularities that have come to light. The whole matter is under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Students are the future of the country. We want to keep the future of the country safe. Paper leak has been an institutional failure. We accept this. I take moral responsibility for it. It is a sad incident. It is a challenging time. I myself have met many students. Their anger is justified. Whatever is right according to the law, we will do that.
Some error occurred specifically
The Union Education Minister said, we will not compromise with the transparency of the examination. According to the primary information, some error has happened specifically. I want to assure you that after getting concrete information, the culprits will be given the harshest punishment. Be it the National Testing Agency (NTA) or any big person in NTA, if found guilty, action will be taken against them. In this entire matter, priority will be given to the students.
Ready to make any kind of improvement
Dharmendra Pradhan said that recommendations will be taken from the high level committee to further improve the structure, functioning and security protocol of the National Testing Agency. We are committed to zero error examination. Students are the future of the country. We appeal to the political parties not to spread rumours. Politics should not be done in this matter. The government is ready for any reform.
