New Delhi. The investigation into the alleged irregularities and paper leak in the NEET exam is ongoing. The CBI is investigating the matter. Meanwhile, according to a report by news channel Aaj Tak, a major revelation has been made in the EOU investigation into the NEET paper leak case in Bihar. The EOU investigation has revealed that the mastermind of the NEET paper leak case, Sanjeev Mukhiya, has links with cyber criminals.
Bihar EOU’s investigation has revealed that Kaju, Bittu and Panku commit cyber crime. EOU has recovered 11 post dated cheques and dozens of SIM cards from them. EOU is now looking for Sanjeev Mukhiya’s nephew Rakesh Ranjan alias Rocky. EOU’s investigation has revealed that Rocky had called some MBBS students from Patna as solvers to solve the NEET paper. So far 24 people have been arrested across the country in the case of NEET exam irregularities and paper leak. Of these, 13 are from Bihar, 5 from Deoghar in Jharkhand, 5 from Godhra in Gujarat and 1 from Latur in Maharashtra.
In Bihar, a case of making candidates memorize answers by leaking the NEET paper came to light. At the same time, in Godhra, Gujarat, the police revealed that after the NEET paper was over, a solver was made to sit and the correct answers were given on the OMR sheet. Whereas, a teacher arrested in Latur is also accused of leaking the NEET paper. Maharashtra Police arrested this teacher after receiving intelligence from Delhi Police. After the allegation of NEET paper leak, the Ministry of Education also cancelled the UGC-NET paper and handed over its investigation to the CBI. Apart from this, the Ministry of Education also announced the cancellation of NEET-PG examination. The Ministry of Education has also removed Subodh Kumar Singh, DG of National Testing Agency i.e. NTA and formed a high level committee to improve the functioning of NTA. Apart from this, anti-paper leak law has also been implemented.
