Negligence Revealed in Dibrugarh Express Accident: Why did Dibrugarh Express derail in Gonda? Reason revealed in joint report, major negligence exposed

New Delhi. A big information has come to light in the case of Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train derailment in Gonda two days ago on Thursday. According to TV9 channel, this accident happened due to fault and negligence in the railway track. In the joint report related to the investigation of the incident, it has been told that there was some fault in the track at the place where the accident happened. In the joint report, it has been told that the employees maintaining the track had informed the engineering department in this regard.

According to the railways, whenever there is a fault in the track, first of all a caution is issued for the trains passing through it. According to the caution, keeping the rules in mind, the train is operated at a slow speed at the affected place. According to media reports, this train left Gonda station at 2:28 pm while a caution order was issued to the station master at 2:30 pm. According to this order, the speed of the train was not to be more than 30 km per hour. But by the time the station master received the caution order, the train had reached the place where there was a fault in the track and at 2:32 pm the train derailed.

Now the matter of negligence in this is that when a track gets faulty, it is the job of the engineering department to preserve the entire track until the caution is implemented. Let us tell you that in this accident, 19 out of 22 coaches of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express train derailed and overturned. Four people lost their lives in this accident while 30 others were injured, however, due to the new technology LHB coaches, there was less loss of life and property, otherwise the death toll could have increased.
