Kathmandu Former Nepal King Gyanendra Shah is the main architect behind violent protests in the country this week. Shah was accused in an important meeting of pro -Republic political parties. The meeting was called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
According to local media reports, the parties accused the former king of weakening the constitution and conspiring to overthrow the federal democratic republic system.
Home Minister Ramesh writer said that there is a consensus to unite among political parties to ensure the protecting, national development and public security of the Constitution.
Addressing the press after the meeting, the author said, “No anti-constitutional activity will be tolerated. Despite disagreement on various issues between different parties, former PM Baburam Bhattarai, who is also the President of Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP), suggested that he should be united to fight the recently anti-republics activities in support of Shah.”
Talking to the press, Bhattarai said, “Gyanendra Shah has been behaving for a long time as he is still kings. Political parties and the government have ignored it in a heartfelt ignoring. However, the 28 March incident was excited on their behalf and it was a criminal act. His actions have now crossed the boundary. That is why I proposed in the all -round meeting that they should face legal action.
Meanwhile, the fourth and fifth largest parties in Parliament, National Swatantra Party (RSP) and National Democracy Party (RPP) were excluded from the all -party meeting on Sunday. According to Nepal’s leading daily Kathmandu Post, both parties are considered anti -Republic forces.
On Friday, tension increased in some areas of the capital Kathmandu, as two people were killed and hundreds of people were injured in violent clashes between security personnel and pro -monarchy protesters. These people were demanding the restoration of the expired monarchy in Nepal.
