The advisory told the Indians present in Kharkiv that they should move as quickly as possible towards Pesochin, Bezlyudovka and Babaye. In any case, they will have to reach these places at 6 pm (Ukraine time).
Russia can help in getting Indians airlifted
Russia can help in airlifting Indians stranded in Kharkiv and Eastern regions. According to Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov told that we are in touch with Indian officials. Rescue from Russian territory is being considered.
Now no Indian citizens in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv
Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has told that all Indians have been evacuated from Kyiv. In fact, on Tuesday, a warning was issued by the Indian Embassy, in which it was told that Indian citizens should leave Kyiv under any circumstances.
Indians being evacuated from Ukraine under ‘Operation Ganga’
The Government of India is conducting Operation Ganga to rescue Indians trapped in Ukraine. Under this, people are being evacuated through five countries sharing a land border with Ukraine. These countries are Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova and Hungary.
