The swearing-in ceremony of Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and his cabinet colleagues has been postponed till March 28 to ensure the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and top BJP leadership at the event. A state BJP official gave this information on Tuesday. Soon after staked claim to form the government in Goa, Sawant on Monday suggested that the swearing-in ceremony may be delayed to accommodate the programs of top central BJP leaders.
The 20-member BJP legislature party has been supported by three independents and two MLAs of the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, including BJP national general secretary C.T. Ravi has also indicated more MLAs supporting the Treasury Bench when the floor test is conducted.
