New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon on Saturday. The purpose of this phone call was to congratulate the Indian PM on winning the elections for the third time and coming to power. Prime Minister Luxon extended his heartfelt congratulations to PM Modi on his re-election after the general elections in India. India and New Zealand have been very good friends for a long time.
The two leaders reiterated their commitment to advance bilateral relations based on shared democratic values and people-to-people ties. They agreed to further cooperation in trade, animal husbandry, pharmaceuticals, education, space and other areas. The Prime Minister thanked PM Lakson for looking after the interests of the NRIs. PM Lakson assured them of their safety and well-being. Both leaders expressed their desire to remain in touch with each other in the future.
