New Delhi . The charge sheet filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the special court of Kerala in connection with the armed attack in 2023 at Wayanad’s office at Wayanad at Wayanad, includes the names of three Maoist guerrillas of the Kabani Dalam squad. An official gave this information on Saturday.
A charge sheet was filed in Ernakulam’s special court on Friday against three members of the banned CPI (Maoist) terrorist organization.
Among the people named in the charge sheet, C.P. Moidin alias Girish aka Salil alias Sajan, Manoj P.M. Aka Aashiq and P.K. Soman aka Shahid alias Akbar is included.
An NIA official said that he has been charged under various sections of the IPC, Arms Act, Public Property Defense Act, 1961 and illegal activities (prevention) Act.
The charge sheet states that a total of five members of the CPI (Maoist) armed with deadly weapons and illegally infiltrated the KFDC office on September 28, 2023.
He took the KFDC manager hostage and damaged public property and equipment from the iron rod. Shouting Maoist slogans, men also pasted posters of CPI (Maoist) in the office premises.
After the incident, four attackers were arrested by enforcement agencies, and one surrendered to the police.
The NIA, who took the matter into his hand a few days later, found during the investigation that the CP. Moidin, Manoj P.M. And P.K. Soman, H.S. Ravindra alias Kotehonda Raviyalias alias Manoj alias Ramu and Santosh Kumar A alias Sandhosh Kumar alias Raja, CPI (Maoist) military branch were members of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA).
He had created a local guerrilla squad called Kabani Dalam in the Wayanad forests, and was actively involved in terrorist acts with the aim of spreading fear in the public and destabilizing the government. The NIA said the attack on KFDC was part of their violent anti -national agenda.
