New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted raids in several states in the drugs and weapons smuggling cases associated with the Khalistani organization. Several suspicious items have been recovered in the raids conducted at more than 18 places, which are being investigated intensely. The NIA reported this on Friday.
It was reported that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted a search operation at several places in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and other states across India in a case related to smuggling arms and drugs.
The NIA has found several electronic equipment and other objectionable materials during the search at 18 places in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Karnataka.
The NIA teams are investigating the seized items to highlight the entire conspiracy behind smuggling in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of India.
The case registered by the Anti-Terrorism Agency on 20 December 2024, RC-18/2024/NIA/DLI, was searched on the premises of suspected persons associated with institutions in Pakistan on Thursday. According to the NIA investigation, suspected banned illegal unions/terrorist organizations under investigation are associated with ideology.
The NIA investigation has also revealed that these institutions are plotting through social media platforms and are in regular contact with suspected foreign operators of pro -Khalistan elements (PKE) as part of conspiracy to destabilize India.
The NIA team is continuously engaged in the investigation of the work being done to spread unrest in India. At the same time, the NIA has continued its investigation in the case of weapons and drug smuggling.
