New Delhi. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided 18 places simultaneously in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on Thursday in cases related to terrorist conspiracy. According to the information, raids were conducted at six places in Punjab, nine in Haryana and three in Uttar Pradesh.
Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur are prominent among the districts of Punjab where action was taken. Apart from Karnal and Yamunanagar in Haryana, NIA teams conducted an investigation campaign at different places in Uttar Pradesh.
The NIA raided a house in Tanda, Hoshiarpur in the presence of Punjab Police. The NIA team raided the house of YouTuber Sukhbir Singh in Budhlada town of Mansa district. However, YouTuber was not present at home at that time.
The NIA team searched the house for about one and a half hours and searched the documents. It is being told that later the team left for the family members that YouTuber has to appear in the NIA office in Chandigarh.
According to sources, this action of Red in Mansa was taken on the basis of alleged chat and conversation between YouTuber Sukhbir Singh and Pakistan resident Shahzad Bhatti. The agency suspects that the conversation between the two may indicate anti -national or suspicious activities.
The National Investigation Agency raided the residences of Kulbir Singh Sandhu and Johnny, the most wanted in terrorism funding in Yamunanagar, Haryana. The NIA raided the RK Puram area of Karnal in these cases. In a raid on a house located in street number 19 in Karnal, it was found that the young man living there currently lives in Britain.
Initial investigation revealed that the young man had also done a financial transaction with an accused, which belongs to Punjab. In this episode, the NIA raided Punjab after Haryana.
