In the NIRF ranking, the first place in the list of top innovative institutes of India has been secured by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) while the second place is occupied by Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras). Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) is in third place while Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (IISc Bengaluru) is in fourth place while Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has been placed at fifth place. Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is in sixth place. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) has been placed seventh in terms of innovation.
