Nissan Motor India on Wednesday introduced its new SUV X-Trail in India. This is an all-new 4th generation premium urban SUV made in Japan. Engine in Nissan X-TRAIL
The all-new X-Trail is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol variable compression-turbo Nissan’s ALIS mild hybrid 2WD engine mated to a third-generation Xtronic CVT powertrain that produces 163PS and 300Nm of torque. This engine, which is the first of its kind worldwide, offers power and fuel efficiency on demand.

According to the report, the X-TRAIL features a strong front fascia with a slimmer, sharper front headlamp design thanks to the use of LED technology. On the rear lights, there are also graduated ‘raindrop’ grain optics that create a 3D lighting effect and give a futuristic feel. At the heart of the X-TRAIL’s technology suite is a high-definition, fully electronic 31.2 cm TFT multi-information screen that offers a choice of configurable layouts to display the SUV’s information. The SUV comes with e-shifter, electronic parking brake, auto hold, drive modes, paddle shifters, dual zone AC, cruise control and auto fold ORVM (outside rear-view mirrors) to ensure a comfortable ride. The SUV also has the option of a panoramic sunroof.

Safety features on the Nissan X-TRAIL SUV include 7 airbags, Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), Brake Limited Slip Differential (BLSD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill-Start Assist (HSA), ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors and all 4 wheel disc brakes.
Seat layout
The cabin design in the SUV features a 7-seat layout, 40/20/40 second row seat split option with sliding and recline function, and a 50:50 seat fold and floating centre console with butterfly opening for the third row.
