Chandigarh Punjab cabinet minister Harpal Singh Cheema has welcomed the ceasefire decision between India and Pakistan. He said on Monday that no country wants war, its results are very terrible. In this we only get havoc.
Describing the ceasefire’s decision as commendable, Cheema said that it is a very good thing that tension between the two countries has come down.
It is noteworthy that there was peace in the border areas on Sunday and Monday. Attacks are not being carried out by Pakistan.
During a conversation with news agency , Punjab Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Water issue, “Punjab has already given the water of their rights to Haryana and Rajasthan and they have also used it. However, during the national crisis, we gave additional water to Rajasthan, where a large part of our army was working. On the issue of GST and tax evasion, Harpal Singh Cheema said that around 195 fake companies were registered in Punjab, out of which 126 were under central jurisdiction. He said that the firm was engaged in fake billing and incorrectly claiming input tax credit (ITC). We have blocked all these 195 firms and have freezed ITC of Rs 76 crore. Action is being taken against all these. Most of these firm were registered under the jurisdiction of the center.
Taking a dig at the Congress and the BJP, he said that while we were taking action, some political parties like Congress and BJP looked excited. Probably because she was trying to save the people involved in tax evasion and fake challan.
