Uttar Pradesh News Desk: To make the city clean and beautiful, the green belt, parks and central verge will be made green. Greater Noida Authority will spend approximately Rs 100 crore on this work. In the first phase, tender for works worth Rs 30 crore has been issued by identifying green areas along the banks of more than 24 sectors and some major roads and the central verge.
Along with maintenance of trees and plants, civil (repair) works will also be done. A single agency will do all the work. The selected agency will be given responsibility for two years. In fact, due to lack of regular maintenance, the condition of green areas, central verge and parks has deteriorated. With the greenery disappearing, the footpaths of the parks are broken. The boundary wall has also been broken at many places. Keeping this in view, the authority has prepared a detailed action plan to enhance the beauty of the city. Under the scheme, in the first phase, plantation and maintenance of trees and plants along with repair work will be done in those green areas, central verges and parks whose condition has deteriorated.
According to the official of the Horticulture Department of the Authority, Sector Omicron-2, Sector Delta-2, Sector Mu-2, Knowledge Park-2, Sector Mu-1, Sector Gamma-1, Sector Gamma-2, Sector Chai-5, Sector Pi. -1,2, Trees, plants and lawn in front of Gautam Buddha University and green belt of proposed night safari, between Savitri Bai Phule Balika Inter College Road, JU-1 and 2, Civil work of trees, plants and lawns in Sector Omicron-1, Omicron-1A, Sigma-1,2,3,4, Sector Ecotech-10, Knowledge Park-3, Chai-4, Ecotech-11, P-3 and Sector-3. Along with the work, plantation etc. will be done. The selected agencies will have to take care for two years. Along with greenery, civil works will also have to be done. According to the official, about Rs 100 crore will be spent on development works of parks and green areas.
Greenery will also increase in Greno West
In the area of Greater Noida West, there is much less greenery as compared to Greater Noida. In such a situation, to increase greenery here, a plan has been made to give the green belt to companies, social organizations and interested societies. According to the authority officer, preparations are underway to identify 4-5 green areas and adopt them.
Work is being done on a plan to make the city clean and green. Tender has been issued for maintenance of trees and plants, civil work etc. in green areas, central verge and parks in almost all sectors of Greater Noida East. The work will be started within a month after completing the tender process. All such places are being marked where greenery and civil works are to be done.
