Noida: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar said on Tuesday that Noida was once known as the ‘centre of corruption’ but due to the efforts of the BJP’s double engine government, it has become ‘the center of corruption’. Taking aim at the previous non-BJP governments of the state, the Defense Minister said that earlier this area of western Uttar Pradesh was dominated by criminals, due to which people used to migrate from here, but now this is a thing of the past. Singh was addressing an election rally in Bisaha village of Greater Noida in support of BJP candidate Mahesh Sharma from Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha seat.

Voting on this seat is to be held on 26th April. He said, “You people know very well about Noida. There was a time when Noida was the center of corruption for the politicians of Uttar Pradesh. It was also said for the officers that if there is any biggest center of corruption then it is Noida.”
He said, “But today I can proudly say that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Noida has no longer become a center of corruption but a center of business.” Praising the ‘double engine’ government in the state, the BJP leader said, “The kind of fear that criminals had in this area, the kind of dominance they had, there were even reports that some people were migrating from here. All this is now a thing of the past.”
He said that today if any place is known not only in Uttar Pradesh but in the whole of India for tourism and law and order, then it is Noida. The Defense Minister said that today as far as Uttar Pradesh is concerned, this state is no longer known for its criminal records but for the huge investments coming from every corner of India and other countries of the world, excellent law and order, shine of expressways. goes.
Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Singh also took credit for the Noida International Airport to be built in Jewar area of Gautam Buddh Nagar. He said, “Jewar airport is near here. When I was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, I remember well that I first went to the Government of India with the proposal of Jewar Airport.”
Singh said, “In the meantime, governments of other parties were formed in Uttar Pradesh and the proposal of Jewar airport went on the back burner. But I really want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi, who resolved that this land of Jewar will get India’s largest airport and today the work of Jewar airport is progressing rapidly.”
Rajnath Singh said that he does not need to go into much detail about the development in the state because people know it well. He reminded that Uttar Pradesh was once counted among the poor states but now it is not so.
