Rohit Sharma also praised middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer, who played a key role in helping India reach a big score. Iyer’s brilliant inning of 82 runs off 56 balls earned him special praise from the captain. Rohit commented, “When you want to score significant numbers of runs, you need that kind of determination, and a score of 350 on any pitch is a very good score, and Shreyas’s batting should also be credited for that.” Credit should go to him.” He further said, “Shreyas is a mentally strong player and he stepped up under pressure and performed what he is known for and that is what we expect from him. Shreyas has shown that he is ready to face any challenge.”
