In the last few days, continuous information is coming out about Nothing phone (1). This first phone from Carl Pei’s startup remains in the headlines. Now the company has made it clear that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset will be given in the Nothing phone (1). Carl Pei confirmed these information on InputMag. According to the report, Pei also explained why the mid-range chipset has been given instead of the flagship in the phone.
According to the report, most of the phones coming these days get decent performance for normal tasks. A more powerful chipset means an increase in the price. Pei believes that the 778G+ chipset is quite powerful and that the better battery life is its most important thing. It seems that Qualcomm has supported wireless charging and reverse wireless charging in the chipset offered in Nothing Phone (1). This support is usually given in more high-end flagship processors, but Qualcomm seems to have a lot of confidence in the upcoming device of Nothing.
There is no doubt that there is going to be a lot of debate about the Snapdragon 778G+. Talking about the unique design of the first phone from Nothing, some users will certainly have expected flagship-level chipsets, such as the Snapdragon 888 or 870 of the 800 series. But after the confirmation of the Snapdragon 778G+, there will definitely be some negative impact on the performance of the device, especially in a market like India where the processor is considered as the most powerful component in the phone.
However, this does not mean that nothing phone (1) will get poor performance. But it is a matter of course that now both the phone reviewer and the users will keep this aspect in mind as well.
Meanwhile, new leaks and pictures regarding the Nothing Phone (1) have revealed that the handset will also come with a black variant. So far, the company has revealed only the white variant. The phone has a semi-transparent back panel on which five Lightning strips have been given. YouTuber MKBHD has shared a video in which the full display of the Nothing Phone (1) can be seen.
