In Uttar Pradesh, 273 elected MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party alliance have approved Yogi Adityanath as the next Chief Minister by electing him as the leader of the legislature party. Home Minister and former BJP President Amit Shah, who was present in this meeting as an observer, also presented the roadmap of Yogi’s new government. He said that now a lofty building has to be built on the foundation laid in the last five years. Now UP has to regain its lost glory, make UP the number one economy at the earliest. During this, he also targeted the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of familyism, casteism and politicization of the administration.
Shah said that the work of laying the foundation for the development of Uttar Pradesh which has been done in 5 years, the next 5 years is to bring back the lost glory to UP and to make UP number one. This is where the journey of change begins. This is where the journey of development begins. From here begins the journey of building a lofty building of prosperity on the foundation. Journey to fulfill the hopes of the poor and the youth and the little girl child. It has to be completed by all the MLAs under the leadership of Yogi ji.
Amit Shah said, “Today it is a matter of joy for all of us that the moment of writing new history of UP Vidhan Sabha is happening. Never in 35 years has a party got an absolute majority for the second time. The BJP is the only party that won two-thirds of the support both times. From the establishment of UP till now, no Chief Minister has been able to become Chief Minister once again by taking the mandate on the basis of his rule. It is a matter of joy for us that Yogi ji has been elected by the public for the second time.
Hitting out at parties like SP and BSP, which ran the government in UP before the BJP, Amit Shah said that the casteist and family canker in UP had destroyed the hope of the people. “UP has been the epicenter of political instability for many years. After the beginning of independence, there was erosion of values and political ideology too. Casteist parties flourished. Because of this, the atmosphere of political instability continued till 2014. Can go over 300.
Amit Shah said that before 2017 the governments of UP did not allow the schemes to reach the ground. Due to casteism the schemes did not reach the people. The plans did not hit the ground due to corruption and politicization of the administration. Shah said that when Yogi assumed power in 2017, he had a lot of challenges before him, there was a shattered economy, there was a broken administrative structure. The entire administration had been politicised, politics had been criminalised, there was no law and order system. The industrialists were not ready to come to Lucknow. There was no faith left in the democracy of the poor. Casteism had destroyed their hope, the canker of familism had killed their hope.
