Bird Flu Death News: A case of death of a person due to bird flu has come to light in Mexico. The World Health Organization (WHO) gave this information on Wednesday. The person who died was affected by Avian Influenza A (H5N2), which is considered to be the most dangerous virus of bird flu. Earlier, bird flu infection due to this virus was not found in humans. However, WHO has also said that at present the risk of H5N2 virus to people is very low and there is no need to worry. Still, caution should be taken.

On April 17, the man started having fever, difficulty in breathing and diarrhea. His condition gradually deteriorated and he was admitted to the hospital on April 24. However, he died on the same day. Doctors say that the man already had many medical conditions including renal failure, but he had not come in contact with poultry or other animals. In such a situation, it is not known how he got bird flu.
The Mexican government does not know where the deceased person was exposed to the bird flu virus, although the avian influenza strain has been reported in poultry in the Mexican state where the person lived. The WHO says the H5N2 virus currently poses a low risk to people and no other cases of infection with the virus have been reported after testing. The Mexican government informed the WHO on May 23 after confirming the presence of the bird flu virus in the deceased person’s sample.

However, according to WHO, people working in poultry and people living in contact with animals and birds should be cautious. Such people are most at risk of bird flu.
