Chandigarh Now the challan on Haryana’s highway will not only cut traffic police or RTA but also SDM and CTM. Yes, you read it right. The government has authorized these officers to take immediate action against overloaded vehicles.
What is in the new order?
The Haryana government has recently given legal rights to all SDMs and CTMs to cut invoices of cars in an official letter. Apart from this, they have also been given username and password, so that they can now reach the online invoice system directly and take action. Earlier, only the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) was allowed to issue challans.
Power was there, but not the platform!
Although the government had previously promised to give the SDM and CTM the right to challan, but the password and ID were not accessing. No access to the system. Therefore, this order was placed only for documents. But now after receiving technical access, this sequence also works well at the ground level.

Deputy Transport Commissioner Ravish Hooda has issued this order, which gives clear instructions that SDM and CTM will now work under the same legal status as RTA.
This decision of the Haryana government will not only improve the traffic network, but it also shows that administrative duty will no longer be limited to the chair.
