Political tension continues over the Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Now Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party over the film. He said that such a film should not be passed for screening. Director Vivek Agnihotri’s film depicts the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley.
According to media reports, at a program organized by the Minorities Department of NCP’s Delhi unit, Pawar said, “Such a film should not have been approved for screening. But it has been given tax exemption and those who are responsible for keeping the country united are encouraging people to watch the film, which instigates anger among the people.

He said Kashmiri Pandits had to flee the Valley, but Pawar pointed out that Muslims were also targeted in a similar manner. “Terrorist groups from Pakistan were responsible for the attack on Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims,” he said.
Pawar said that if the Narendra Modi government really cares about Kashmiri Pandits, then it should make all efforts for their revival and not incite anger among minorities. During this, Pawar also targeted the BJP for dragging the name of Jawaharlal Nehru in the Kashmir issue. He said that VP Singh was the Prime Minister when the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits started.
