On getting information about the incident, the Punjab Police, who reached the spot, got these controversial slogans erased by getting them painted. Apart from this, with the help of CCTV cameras installed around the DRM office, the police has started investigating those who wrote Khalistan slogans. However, the police have yet to get any important leads.
