For this, Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum is being constructed near the Taj Mahal. In this museum one will get an opportunity to see the weapons and old heritage of Shivaji Maharaj. For this a gallery and exhibition hall will be built in the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Uttar Pradesh Tourism has prepared its complete blue print.
Construction on 6 acres of land
The Chhatrapati Museum is being constructed on a six-acre land on Shilpgram Road, one kilometer from the Taj Mahal. Through this museum, people from all over the world will be able to know the valor saga of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Everything related to the period of Shivaji Maharaj will be kept in the museum. People will be well aware of the Maratha Empire. Along with the Taj Mahal, Agra will also be known in the country and the world for the museum of Shivaji Maharaj in the coming times.
70 percent work has been completed
Avinash Chandra Mishra, Joint Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department said that the construction of Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum started in 2016. 99 crores have been spent on its construction so far. From which its building was constructed. Divisional Commissioner Agra got the construction works done during the SP regime investigated by IIT Roorkee. In which cracks have been found in many lanterns. After that its work was stopped. Now those shortcomings are being removed by the executive organization. Earlier Rs 141 crore was to be spent on this project. 70 percent of the work of the museum is done. With time, the estimated cost of its construction is now coming to more than Rs 170 crore. For which a proposal has been sent to the government, soon the construction work of the museum will start. Along with this, the light and sound show is being resumed in the Agra Fort in December. There will be a sound and light show based on new technology similar to the Jhansi fort in Agra Fort, in which laser light will also be used. Apart from the Mughals, the influence of Chhatrapati Shivaji and Guru Gobind Singh will also be heard in the history of Agra Fort. Along with this, the relationship of Lodhi and Rajput dynasty with the fort will also be narrated. The role of Agra in the freedom struggle of 1857 and the history of the city will also be known. Its script has been finalised. Light and sound show is being started with the help of World Bank at a cost of Rs 8.42 crore.
Sound show will be in many languages
Till now the light and sound show used to have two programs in Hindi and English, but now it has been planned to have only one show. Tourists coming to watch the show will be given ear phones, in which the show can be heard in many languages. The show time will be 45 minutes. 200 people will be able to enjoy watching this show together.
Heliport service will start soon
Joint Director Avinash Chandra Mishra said that the Yogi government is making continuous efforts to promote tourism in Agra. In view of this, basic facilities are being increased to promote tourism in the state. In this sequence, for the first time, the heliport service between Agra and Mathura is going to be launched soon. To start the heliport service on PPP mode, five companies have been selected in the tender floated by the tourism department. In this tourist season, heliport service will be available to tourists from December. With this, now tourists will also be able to see the beauty of Tajanagari from the sky.
