New Delhi. You will soon be able to travel by train without any tension. Indian Railways is going to use new technology for track inspection. This will make train travel safer. Railways have decided to use defense technology for track maintenance. The Railway Minister himself gave information in this regard and also told its benefits.
There are about 1.25 km long railway tracks across the country. Due to continuous running of trains, there is a possibility of the track being weak at a particular place. For this, the track is constantly checked. Wherever a weak track is detected, the track is changed. However, due to being manual, the checking takes a lot of time. But the machine will allow faster checking.
Now investigation will be done with defense technology
According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, the track will now be inspected using defense technology. Track maintenance machines will be used for this inspection. This machine will run on both tracks. Its speed will be 30 km per hour. It will have cameras installed in it, which will inspect both sides of the track while taking photos. If any part is left in the middle, then the machine will go back and inspect it. In this way, 100 percent of the track can be inspected.
Such investigations are being conducted now
At present, the track is checked manually. Railway workers operate the wheel, it has a camera installed in it, which tells where the track is weak. But this work is done manually. For example, if the hand operating the wheel goes astray at a place and the track is weak at that place, then it will not be known. Therefore, it has been decided to get the track checked by a track maintenance machine, so that there is no scope for error and the track can be checked.
