New Delhi. The police have arrested the two main suspects, Lallan alias Siraj and his son Faraz, in the case of triple murder in Malihabad near Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. They were on the run and surrendered during investigation. Shocking revelations have come to light during the interrogation, including Siraj’s connections to Pakistan and Nepal, which the police are planning to investigate. The incident took place on Friday evening when 70 year old Lallan alias Siraj shot dead three people including a 15 year old innocent child over a land dispute. Both the suspects were on the run after the crime and the police were tracking them. Before surrendering, the police had issued an alert at the airport, Nepal border and all the districts of Uttar Pradesh. The suspects had gone to meet their close relatives in Moradabad.
DCP West Rahul Raj said that both the main suspects were caught within 36 hours. He also said that Siraj’s two sons are in Poland due to Nepal connections, which has increased concerns about his escape. The police alerted officials at the airports and borders and started surveillance with five teams.
The suspects were planning to surrender through their lawyer in Lucknow. The police plan to investigate their properties under the Gangster Act and seize the ill-gotten wealth. Both suspects will be charged under NSA. Police are also looking into how someone with such a criminal record obtained a passport and renewed the license.
Despite being a notorious criminal, Lallan Khan managed to obtain a passport and the police had already arrested his driver along with the Thar vehicle. CCTV footage of the entire incident has been released, in which Lallan is seen firing with a telescopic rifle. Lallan Khan has a history of more than 12 affairs, and he gained notoriety in the 1980s. Two of his sons live abroad and one was present at the time of the murder. The rifle used in the triple murder over a land dispute is also a telescopic rifle.
