Nuclear Plant Attack: The ongoing devastation between Russia and Ukraine can cause huge devastation at any time. Russia has bombed Europe’s largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine. The fire has already broken out. If the fire increases, there can be 10 times more radiation than Chernobyl. After this news came out, there was a stir in America. The International Atomic Energy Agency tweeted, “The IAEA is in contact with Ukrainian authorities regarding the situation regarding the shelling at the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).” “Elevated radiation levels have been detected near the site of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant,” the Associated Press quoted a government official as saying. This is where about 25% of Ukraine’s electricity generation comes from.
Lavrov’s clarification, did not threaten nuclear war
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that Ukraine’s President Zelensky is of Jewish origin, saying he is promoting Nazism. The purpose of the war is to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, he said. Lavrov clarified that he did not threaten a nuclear attack. On the other hand, US President Joe Biden has said that since the US imposed sanctions on President Putin and his close associates, the attacks on Ukraine have increased.
