New Delhi. Taking action in the NEET UG 2024 exam question paper leak case, the CBI arrested Dr. Ehsanul Haque, Principal of Hazaribagh’s Oasis School and District Coordinator of NEET exam, after about 5 hours of interrogation. According to the CBI, Ehsanul Haque could not give satisfactory answers to the CBI’s questions. The investigating agency has also seized some documents from Ehsanul Haque’s office and house. The CBI had earlier raided Haque’s residence on June 24.
Haq denied that the NEET exam paper was leaked in his school. The principal said that all the guidelines and procedures given by NTA were strictly followed by him. However, during the investigation, one thing came to light that on the day of the exam on May 5, the digital lock on a box containing question papers was not opened at the scheduled time. After this, that box had to be opened by cutting it with a cutter. Let us tell you that one box of question papers comes with a manual lock, while the other has a digital lock. To open the box with manual lock, there is a key and cutter, whereas the box with digital lock opens automatically 45 minutes before the exam, which was not opened on that day.
According to Haq, when he informed the National Testing Agency (NTA) about this, he was told to cut the digital lock with a cutter. It is worth noting that the exam has been cancelled amid the controversy over the NEET exam across the country. The government has assured the students that no harm will be caused to anyone. The Centre has also removed the chairman of NTA and appointed a new person in his place.
