Odisha Panchayat Election Votes are now open, according to trends in Panchayat Elections Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Biju Janata Dal candidate is leading in 278 Zilla Parishad seats. State Election Commission officials said the counting of votes for 315 Zilla Parishad constituency seats began at around 8 am on Saturday at different block headquarters. During this, the corona guidelines of the government are also being followed.
Whereas, according to the trends released by the State Election Commission (SEC), rival BJP candidates could lead in only 18 seats and Congress in 15 seats. Officials said that the counting of votes will be done on February 27 for the remaining 307 seats in the Zilla Parishad zone and on February 28 for the 229 seats in the Zilla Parishad zone.
