Ayodhya Ram Temple.
For the past several days, there was a ruckus over the issue of water dripping from the roof of the Ram temple in Ayodhya during the rainy season. Questions were being raised on the quality of construction of the Ram temple at many places including social media. Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, has himself come forward and given an official statement on this matter. He has put forward many important information including the reason for water dripping from the roof of the temple. Let us know what is the whole truth of this matter.
1. In the sanctum sanctorum where Lord Ramlala is seated, not a single drop of water has dripped from the roof nor has water entered the sanctum sanctorum from anywhere.
2. There is a mandap in front of the sanctum sanctorum to the east, it is called Guhadmandap, after the completion of the roof of the second floor of the temple (about 60 feet high from the ground floor), a dome will be added and the roof of the mandap will be closed, the area of this mandap is 35 feet in diameter, which is temporarily covered on the first floor and darshan is being allowed, pillar construction work is going on on the second floor.
3. There are stairs to go to the upper floors on both sides (north and south) between Rang Mandap and Gudh Mandap, whose roof will also go above and cover the roof of the second floor. That work is also in progress.
4. Generally, in temples made of stones, the electrical conduit and junction box work on the stone roof and the conduit is lowered by making a hole in the roof, which provides lighting to the ground floor ceiling of the temple. This conduit and junction box are made water tight and hidden in the surface during the upper flooring.
Since the work of electricity, water proofing and flooring is in progress on the first floor, water entered all the junction boxes and the same water fell on the ground floor through the conduit. On looking from above, it appeared that water was dripping from the ceiling. Whereas in reality the water was coming out on the ground floor through the conduit pipe. All the above work will be completed soon, the flooring of the first floor will become completely water tight and water will not enter from any junction, as a result water will not go to the lower floor through the conduit.
5. Excellent arrangements have been made in a planned manner for drainage of rainwater in the temple and rampart complex, the work of which is also in progress, hence there will be no waterlogging anywhere in the temple and rampart complex. The entire Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex has been arranged for zero water discharge for rainwater. Recharge pits are also being constructed in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex to keep the rainwater completely inside.
6. The construction work of the temple and boundary wall and the construction/development work of the temple complex is being done under the supervision of the engineers of two most reputed companies of India, L & T and Tata, and Ashish Sompura, son of Shri Chandrakant Sompuraji, the current successor of the tradition of many generations of construction of temples using stones, and experienced sculptors. Hence, there is no deficiency in the quality of the construction work.
7. For the first time in North India, temple construction work is being done using only stones (in North Indian Nagar style) (without using iron). In India and abroad, only the temples of Swami Narayan tradition are made of stones. Installation of the idol of God, Darshan, worship and construction work is possible only in stone temples. Due to lack of information, the mind is getting disturbed.
8. After the day of Prana Pratishtha, approximately one lakh to one lakh fifteen thousand devotees are having darshan of the child form of Ram Lalla every day. Entry for darshan is from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Any devotee has a maximum of one hour to enter, walk and take darshan, and come out to get the prasad. Taking mobile phones inside the temple is prohibited. Use of mobile phone is a hindrance during darshan and can be fatal for security.
