Claiming to be India’s only scooter with the highest range, Ola company’s troubles are increasing day by day, for the people who have been waiting for a long time, the company has started the delivery of S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters for its customers. , i.e. those who had pre-booked the electric scooter, they are being given delivery of the scooter after payment of the balance amount.
However, you would remember that Ola has faced difficulties even after the delay in delivery, as some of the features like cruise control, hill hold, navigation assist and hyper mode are missing in the delivered scooters. Ola has now confirmed that the company will push a software update that will add these features to the electric scooter. That is, according to media reports, it will take three to six months for this software update to reach all the customers.
Varun Dubey, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola Electric said, “Users will have to use their scooters without these features for the next six months. While in the next 6 months, we will make them available in scooters. We will get an idea of what features can be added to the scooter.”
He further added that the scooter is not only a hardware platform but also a software platform for the company. “In September, when we opened the bookings and got the media tested, we had clearly explained that the software would be rolled out in a phased manner.
On the other hand, talking about another issue that customers reported is doubts regarding the range of Ola S1 Pro, Dubey clarified that the range of 181 km has been certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) depending on the circumstances. But the real world range of the scooter is 135 km.
