According to Ayurveda doctor Ganesh Jagat, ‘The medicine made from trees and plants is called Kashthaushadhi. Whereas, the medicine made from metals and minerals is called Rasaushadhi. Amla is used in both these types of medicines. In fact, Amla is considered the best among chemical substances. What I mean to say is that when the hair becomes lifeless and dry, then using Amla brings life to the hair. By applying Amla paste, even dry hair starts looking black, thick and shiny.’
