Basedi police station in -charge Brijesh Kumar Meena said that a criminal case related to Honey Trap was registered at the local police station on 31 December 2024. The complainant alleged that on 21 December 2024, a young woman’s friend request on her Instagram ID. Which he accepted. The conversation with the girl began after joining the friend list. During the conversation, both spoke through video calls. The woman called her in the city of Dholpur to make physical relations by implicating her in talks. On 29 December 2024, the victim reached Dholpur to meet the girl.
Where both of them booked a room in a hotel and had a physical relationship with consent. After this, the girl demanded Rs 4 lakh from the boy and threatened to implicate him in the rape case for not giving money. He further informed that the young man has been fined Rs 50,000 due to getting entangled in the trial. 2 lakh rupees were recovered from his house. About five people were working behind this conspiracy. Omkar Thakur, 22 -year -old son of Vijay Singh Thakur, a resident of Harjupura, came to collect money. The accused were given two lakh rupees, after which the accused asked for two lakh rupees.
After this incident, the victim’s family reached Basedi police station. A case was registered under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sumit Mehra. After investigation, the police arrested Omkar Thakur, the main accused of Honey Trap. Station in -charge Meena said that a reward of 20 thousand rupees was also declared by the Superintendent of Police for the arrest of the accused. The accused is being questioned by the police. The SHO said that the police arrested the accused Prahlad, Hazari, Pankaj and Monu and sent them to jail.
