A sensational incident has come to light from the Tripura state of Northeast India. Where a mentally ill person (40) killed his neighbor in a village in South Tripura district. After this, angry local people beat the accused to death on Sunday. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

Ashish Debnath of Kalchera village under Manubazar police station was mentally ill. He went mad on Sunday morning. After this, two locals went to calm him down. Giving more information about the case, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nityanand Sarkar said, “Devnath became violent and he attacked both.” He attacked one of them with an iron rod, killing him on the spot. The other person managed to escape.
He was chased by the police team and local people.
After killing Deshpriya Bhattacharya, Debnath took the body to a nearby lake and lay there with an iron rod. On the information of the villagers, a team of police reached Kalchera village. Seeing the police van, Debnath tried to escape but the security personnel and locals chased him.
The beating of the local people lost his life.
The villagers caught Debnath and beat him up. “We took him to a nearby health center, where he was declared dead,” the police officer said.
He has already attacked the police.
The SDPO said Debnath was arrested last year for attacking policemen. He was out on bail. “We have registered a case in connection with the incident and investigation is on,” he said.
