New Delhi. On the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, leaders from across the country paid tribute to him on Friday, August 16. On this occasion, there was a rush of BJP leaders at his Samadhi Sthal ‘Sadaiv Atal’ in Delhi. Many senior leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached ‘Sadaiv Atal’ and paid floral tribute to the former Prime Minister. Atal Bihari Vajpayee died on 16 August 2018 in Delhi. He was born in Gwalior in 1924, and he was the first non-Congress Prime Minister of India to complete his term.

President Draupadi Murmu also paid tribute to Vajpayee by visiting ‘Sadaiv Atal’ on Friday. During this, she offered floral tribute at the samadhi. Apart from this, other NDA leaders also paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Union ministers and BJP leaders remembered the former Prime Minister by visiting ‘Sadaiv Atal’ on his death anniversary.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is considered one of Vajpayee’s disciples, also paid tribute to his guru. He paid floral tribute to Vajpayee while expressing his respects. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also remembered Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid tribute to him.
BJP President JP Nadda, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and other senior leaders also visited ‘Sadaiv Atal’ and paid tribute to the former Prime Minister. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s adopted daughter Namita Kaul Bhattacharya was also present on this occasion, who offered floral tribute at her father’s samadhi.
Apart from this, many other leaders including JDU leader Sanjay Jha, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Union Ministers Arjun Meghwal, Giriraj Singh, and Dr. Jitendra Singh also paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
On this occasion, there was a long queue of leaders from across the country to pay their respects to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and everyone paid homage to the former Prime Minister while refreshing his memories.
