This Navratri special thali will be served to rail passengers made of rock salt for just Rs.99. In this regard, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has included special food of Navratri in its menu. Navratri of Chaitra month is going to start from 2nd April i.e. Saturday. Many people fast for 9 days in Navratri. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult for the people traveling. That’s why now Indian Railways has started this special facility for its passengers. On behalf of the Railways, passengers will get fast special thali in the train for 9 days from April 2.
Indian Railways has introduced a special menu of Navratri for the passengers as the 9-day festival is all set to begin from April 2. Those who are traveling during Navratri can now have a home-like meal. The menu of Railways includes Navratri special food. Passengers will get the option of Aloo Chaap and Sabudana Tikki in the starter menu. Sabudana Khichdi, Aloo Paratha etc. have also been included.
The special thing is that onion garlic will not be used in Navratri special plate and these dishes will be made with rock salt.
Talking about the starter, Aloo Chaap will be served during the fast which is made with fresh coconut, peanuts, sabudana. Also, Sabudana Tikki will be fried till golden brown and crisp and served with creamy curd.
On the other hand, if we talk about the main course, then Paneer Makhmali and Sabudana Khichdi, Singhada Aloo Paratha, Paneer Makhmalli, Arabic Masala, Aloo Chaap and Sitaphal Kheer, Kofta Curry, Paneer Velvet in Arabic Masala, Arabic Masala, Sabudana Khichdi with Curd are among the favorite fasting. Meal for this, made of sago, green chilli, mustard seeds and roasted peanuts will be served after tempering.
Along with this, desserts will also be served in this Navratri special plate. Sitaphal Kheer – Made from fresh custard apple pulp and cream, this Sitaphal Kheer will surely give a sweet end to your fasting meal.
According to the railways, while booking tickets, passengers can use IRCTC’s e-catering service or online book on their fasting plate number 1323.
