Aburod Railway Police Police Officer Manoj Kumar Chauhan said that in this case the deceased Kailash Chand is a resident of Church Street, Aburod Gandhinagar near Mukesh Bandh. Ramswaroop Koli was arrested last night. During the interrogation, many important information has been received and efforts are on to arrest the main accused Vikas Kumar Rajput. Head constable Tej Bahadur Singh, Constable Pahar Singh, Shravan Ram, Asuram, Virdhar Ram, Parasaram, Om Prakash and Bajrang Lal played important roles in this arrest operation.
How was the fraud done?
Police investigation revealed that the accused Vikas Kumar Rajput had a photocopy of DD presented at Abu Road railway station, which was examined by the bank. It was revealed that on 7 February 2024, a DD of Rs 60,194 was withdrawn from ICICI Bank located on Abu Road from Kailash Chand’s bank account, but it was tampered with to Rs 6,60,194.
The accused submitted the photocopy of DD to the railway station office and canceled the original DD from the bank. After this, he transferred the money to his account and then to Vikas Kumar Rajput’s account. Police arrested Kailash Chand, accused of tampering with DD number 503423. He will be produced in Jodhpur on Thursday and taken on remand.
The case was registered on 22 March.
In this case, on 22 March 2025, the report was filed by Lalchand Kumar, Assistant Commercial Manager of Divisional Office Ajmer. The report said that the food numbers of stall numbers 42, 43, 46 and 47 located at Abu Road railway station are operated by Messrs Sai Balaji Corporation, Sahid Enterprises and USB Corporation.
The contractor of this stall Vikas Kumar Rajput had made DD in the name of ICICI Bank and Punjab National Bank Abu Road in the name of depositing railway license fees from 18 January 2023 to 17 August 2024. Later, scanned and canceled and submitted a photocopy of fake DD to the railway office, thus cheated Rs 1.18 crore. The police have registered a case and started investigation. So far one of the accused has been arrested, while the search for the main accused is going on.
