Kanker. Once again the incident of theft has come to the fore in the city, in which an unknown thief broke the lock of the house and stole jewelery worth about one lakh rupees. After receiving the complaint, the police registered a crime against the unknown thief and started searching for the theft address.
A new case of theft has come to light in Jhuniapara ward of the city. Meera Netam (50), a resident of Jhuniapara, filed a report in the police station that she lives with the family of her sister-in-law Pramila Netam in Jhuniapara. On March 8, at around 12 o’clock in the morning, my nephew Janaklal Netam had gone out of the house for some work by locking his room and went to work in the locality by locking the iron door of the house and outside at around one o’clock in the afternoon.
When I came back home at two o’clock, I saw that the lock of Jethani Pramila’s room was broken and the goods were scattered, the lock of the cupboard kept in the room was broken. By phone, I informed about the incident to my sister-in-law Pramila. After opening the lock of his room and going inside, he saw that the wardrobe items kept in the room were scattered and the latch in the back door was lying on the broken ground. One piece of gold necklace, one piece of gold earrings, two pieces of gold ring, one pair of ear-tops, two pairs of gold mangalsutra, one piece of gold chain, three pairs of silver anklets from the shelves kept in both the rooms of the house. An unknown thief broke the lock of the house and stole it worth about 94 thousand rupees. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a crime against the unknown thief.
Theft incidents on the rise again
Incidents of theft are once again increasing in the district headquarters. In the cases of theft that took place on the previous day, the police have not yet been able to reach the thieves and new cases of theft are coming to the fore. A few days ago, on February 27, an incident of theft came to light in two houses in Singarbhat. In which Singarbhat resident Shyam Sundar Prasad Gupta had filed a theft report in the police station that by breaking the lock of the house located in Singarbhat, unknown thieves stole one lakh rupees in cash and 50 thousand cash totaling one lakh 50 thousand. Similarly, Sukchand Mandavi, a resident of Sigarbhat, had filed a report on February 27 that on February 26, he had gone to Anjani home village with the entire family after locking his house. When he came to Singarbhat at 6.30 am the next day, he saw that the lock of the door of his house was broken.
On the suspicion of theft, he went inside the house and saw that all the goods inside the house were scattered and an unknown thief stole one lakh 80 thousand rupees including 25 thousand cash and jewelry kept in the cupboard. In both the cases, the police registered a crime against the unknown thief and was looking for the thief’s address, but the vicious thieves are still away from the police’s grip. At the same time, in the month of February, the wheels of two cars parked in Jawahar ward and other items were stolen. Even this matter has not been resolved yet.
